Erzulie heart flag
photo of Erzulie heart flag item #500
Haiti - Haitian

This flag was made by the well respected artist, Valris, in Haiti. It features beads and sequins. The heart is the symbolic representation of Erzulie, the Virgin Mary in her role in the Haitian interpretation of the Christian religion of Vodou, also known as "Voodoo". The mistaken ideas that many have of this word have led those to unfortunate conclusions regarding the true nature of the religion. This striking flag measures 26 x 35 1/2".
