There are 4 general size categories of these baskets: XL ($175.), large ($125.), medium ($75.) and small ($45.). Since these are all individually made by hand there is a variety of exact sizes within each size category. Click on the photo for a view of other sizes.

These baskets are still commonly in use among the Bozo of northern Mali, primarily for the storage and display in markets of agricultural products, i.e., onions, etc.

30". The lives of the Bozo people are closely linked to the Niger River. This fish mask represents that association. The Bozo have not proliferated masks like many other African peoples which makes this one - the only one I have ever found - extraordinary.
