This type of basket is called a Palm Basket, woven from the stem of a palm branch. This variation is our double palm weave variation, meaning 2 different palm stems are twisted together and woven to make the stunning exterior pattern. These are very sturdy baskets and can definitely handle any stress you wish to put on them. The basket was hand woven in Ivory Coast and shipped to us from there.
