These beautiful, sturdy, comfortable, designer hats are eco-friendly: hand-woven of sustainable elephant grass in northern Ghana, in the region of Bolgatanga, hence their name. Their overall diameter is 16 – 16 1/4″ (40.6 – 41.2 cm); the brim is a standard 4″ (10 cm) wide. The accent colors and designs vary. Please order by style number.
Our hats are mostly of a fairly large head size although they vary enough that we have divided them into 3 sizes. The small size fits most heads. The large size fits larger heads and fits over relatively voluminous hairstyles, i.e., afros, etc. The medium size is in between those.
